QUICK LUBE SERVICES

We Service most Semi-Trucks and Cars
Please contact us for details.

State Vehicle Inspection
Giuffre Auto Services is a licensed State Inspection Station.

Transmission Service
We change the filter, remove the transmission filter pan, clean the sediment from the pan, and replace the transmission fluid filter. The pan is reinstalled with a new gasket, and the transmission is refilled to the full level on the dipstick. This service replaces the filter and allows us to clean the debris from the pan, but it doesn't replace the fluid in the torque converter and only replaces three to five quarts of fluid on most vehicles.

Transmission Flush
A Transmission Flush is started by running a chemical cleaner through the transmission. The flush machine is connected to the transmission and cooler lines, and using your transmissions own pump, we flush 16 quarts of new fluid through the transmission completely replacing the old fluid. The service is completed by adding a BG conditioner to enhance the shifting characteristics, dissolve deposits, and help keep seals soft and resistant to leaks. This service replaces all the fluid in the transmission including the torque converter and valve body. It also includes a conditioner to help remove deposits, but it does not replace the filter.

Transmission Flush & Filter
A Full Transmission flush is completed followed by a detailed filter change. Customers should alternate the two services through the life of the transmission. Most transmissions should be serviced every 30,000 miles. Please refer to your owners manual for the service interval on your vehicle.

Oil Changes
Full service oil change up to 5 quarts of oil. We check and top off all the fluid levels, check air pressure in the tires, vacuum the interior, and wash the outside of the windows.

Motor Oil Basics
In order for your car's engine to do its job properly, it is vital to have clean, fresh oil.

The oil used in your car has two primary ingredients: base oil and additives. The base oil allows the motor oil to perform its vital function - lubricating the engine's moving parts to protect them against wear and tear caused by friction. The additives provide additional engine protection by helping to prevent the oil from deteriorating under the engine's extreme temperature conditions.

The base oil is refined from crude (oil in its natural state when pumped from the ground). The crude must undergo a variety of refining processes before yielding base stock suitable for use in engine oil. Undesirable components such as wax, sulphur and nitrogen compounds must be removed. Unsaturated hydrocarbons must be extracted or converted into more stable molecules.

Crude is first separated by vacuum distillation into a series of fractions or viscosity ranges. The fractions intended for base oil production are processed further using various combinations of refining processes.

Semi-Truck Service
Call for details. Prices vary based on engine type and brand of oil.

Headlight and Bulb Replacement
Always checked during a full service oil change or call for more information.

Wiper Blade Replacement
Don't forget your wipers. You never know when you will need them.

PCV Valve Change
Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) - A Faulty PCV valve can cause problems including engine stumbles/misfires, rough idle, and even excessive oil consumption.

Radiator Flush
Your car's radiator and cooling system needs to be clean to be cool. As time goes by, your car's radiator builds solid deposits that can clog the cooling system. A quick radiator flush can keep the system in shape. It's important to change your antifreeze seasonally.

Fuel Injection Cleaning
Removing the buildup of dirt and particles in your fuel system will not only help restore and improve your vehicle's performance and reduce emissions. It will also help improve your gas mileage and overall drivability.

Coolant System Flush

Coolant should be changed regularly to prevent corrosion that eats holes in cooling system components. This corrosion may result in an overheated engine that may be damaged beyond repair. Our Coolant System Flush cleans the entire system and removes worn out coolant and debris. Then, we add fresh new coolant.

After this service you'll notice:

  • Overheating prevention
  • Foaming prevention
  • Controlled rust and corrosion
  • Extended coolant life
  • Balanced coolant pH

Brake System Flush

Brake fluid becomes oxidized and contaminated over time and use, resulting in a spongy brake pedal and discolored brake fluid. The heat and moisture can also cause corrosion on parts and brake fluid failure. Our Brake System Flush includes an inspection for leaks and broken or worn parts. Then we replace the old brake fluid with fresh new fluid.

After this service you'll notice:

  • Safe, reliable operation
  • Corrosion prevention
  • Extended component life

Differential Flush

Gear oil lubricated differentials are found in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive pick-up trucks and SUVs, as well as in rear wheel drive passenger cars and vans. Neglecting the replacement of this lubricant can lead to gear oil breakdown, poor differential performance and noise, and excessive wear and corrosion of gears. Our Differential Flush replaces the old fluid with fresh new fluid. Periodic replacement of the gear oil is specified by vehicle manufacturers to maintain the performance and longevity of the differential.

After this service you'll notice:

  • Extended differential component life
  • Superior protection under extreme conditions
  • Reduced friction, wear, and corrosion

Power Steering Flush

The power steering pump produces high pressure, with high heat which leads to fluid breakdown and failure. Symptoms include groaning and whining noises, erratic steering, and pump leaks. Our Power Steering Flush dissolves varnish and gums in the power steering system. Then we replace the old fluid with fresh new fluid.

After this service you'll notice:

  • Eliminated steering squeal
  • Corrected "jerky" steering wheel
  • Fluid leak prevention
  • Reduced wear

Giuffre Auto Services is dedicated to providing customers with quality services. From the moment you enter our Quick Lube service center, we strive to deliver exceptional auto maintenance services. Our goal is to make sure our customers are completely satisfied with their Quick Lube experience. Here is a brief list of services Giuffre Auto Services can provide:

Brake System Flush
Brake fluid is hygroscopic (it absorbs moisture). The absorbed moisture lowers the fluid's boiling point. It also corrodes the lines and cylinders. With the lowered boiling point, the brake fluid could boil during braking which makes you lose braking ability. Although this is an extreme scenario, it does happen in heavy braking. To reduce the effects of the absorbed moisture, auto manufacturers recommend that you have a brake flush done periodically. A brake system flush involves the replacement of used and contaminated fluid with fresh fluid. With Giuffre Auto Services's quick lube services, you will have a brake system flush performed by brake experts. Call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services today.

Coolant System Flush
A car's air conditioning system contains a coolant which transfers excess heat from one part of the engine and finally loses it through the radiator fins. With time, the a/c coolant becomes old and dirty. The old coolant will negatively impact the system's performance. To make sure the system is working effectively, consider having a regular coolant system flush. A coolant flush is basic maintenance for your car's cooling system. Call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services in Salem, NH 03079 for all your coolant system flush and fill needs. Ensure maximum performance from your vehicle's heating and cooling systems today.

Differential Flush
The differential is a car part that compensates for the difference in travel distance between the inner wheels and outer wheels when the vehicle is turning. Due to the differential's position in most non-four-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicles (located at the rear and under the car), it does not get any of the star treatment the engine gets. The one thing that every car owner needs to know is that failure of the differential will mean failure of the car. To save the differential from failure, you need to have differential fluid changed every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Changing the oil on the differential is as important as changing the car's engine oil. Although checking and changing differential oil is pretty easy, you need to visit an auto shop to get a comprehensive differential flush. For differential flush services, visit or call Giuffre Auto Services in Salem, NH 03079 today.

Fuel Injection Cleaning
A fuel injector is an electronically controlled valve that supplies the engine with pressurized fuel. When driving, the oxygen sensors tell the engine if it is getting too much air, which signals the fuel injectors to give the engine spurts of pressurized fuel. Since fuel injectors are small pieces of equipment (and the part that squirts the fuel is even smaller), any little piece of dirt can clog it. A clogged fuel injector will hurt your vehicle's performance. To avoid misfires, poor emission rating, poor performance, and rough idle have the car's fuel injectors cleaned regularly. For professional fuel injection cleaning services, call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services today.

Headlight and Bulb Replacement
To maintain maximum visibility (and keep you safe), you should always make sure that your vehicle's headlight bulbs are in good working condition. Although replacing faulty headlight bulbs is a simple and quick process (takes very little time), you need to rely on an experienced auto mechanic to handle your headlight and bulb replacement. This way, you will have quality bulbs installed by experts. Remember, it is a critical part of your car's maintenance and your safety. For all your headlight and bulb replacement needs, call or visit Giuffre Auto Services today.

Motor Oil Basics
Do you know the oil basics? Did you know that even some auto mechanics do not know the oil basics? In order for your car's engine to do its job properly, it is vital to have clean, fresh oil. The oil used in your car has two primary ingredients: base oil and additives. The base oil allows the motor oil to perform its vital function - lubricating the engine's moving parts to protect them against wear and tear caused by friction. The additives provide additional engine protection by helping to prevent the oil from deteriorating under the engine's extreme temperature conditions. At Giuffre Auto Services, we are motor oil experts - we will help you with motor oil basics. Call us at 603-893-6556 or visit our auto repair shop in Salem, NH 03079 today.

Oil Changes
Did you know that regularly changing the oil in your vehicle is one of the simplest, most effective and inexpensive ways to help protect its engine life? Oil lessens wear, reduces friction, and forms a seal between the pistons, rings, and cylinder walls. The oil also helps cool engine parts and even dampens the shock and noise of moving parts. For all your oil change needs, call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services today. We have years of experience helping drivers with oil changes and other auto maintenance needs.

PCV Valve Change
The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve is a very important part of some cars' emissions control systems. This valve, which is usually plugged into a rubber grommet in the valve cover, is a one-way passage for gases to escape from the engine's crankcase. With time, the PCV valve becomes clogged with sludge from the contaminants in the exhaust gases. If your car has a PCV valve, make sure it is regularly cleaned and (if necessary) replaced. To have your car's PCV valve changed by experts, call or visit Giuffre Auto Services in Salem, NH 03079 today.

Power Steering Flush
Power steering fluid is the hydraulic fluid that transmits the power in a steering wheel. Servicing the power steering involves flushing out the old power steering fluid and adding fresh fluid. A power steering flush will definitely help prolong the life of the power steering components. Failure to have periodic power steering flushes results in important parts like the power steering pump, the seals, power steering rack, and the O-rings wearing out. To have a comprehensive power steering flush, call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services today.

Radiator Flush
A radiator is the part of your vehicle that keeps the engine cool and protects it from excessive heating. To be cool, the radiator needs to remain clean - always. With time, sludge, rust and other solid deposits build up inside your car's radiator. These make the cooling system become clogged and less effective. This in effect hurts your vehicle's performance. A regular radiator flush is enough to keep the system in shape. For this reason, make radiator flushing a part of your routine car maintenance schedule. For all your radiator flush needs, call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services today.

Transmission Flush
Although most manufacturers recommend a transmission flush every 30,000 miles or every two years, some symptoms may indicate that you need a transmission flush sooner. Some of the symptoms that indicate that your car needs a transmission flush sooner are: transmission grinding or strange noises, problems shifting gears, slipping gears, surging of the car, and delay in vehicle movement. Flushing the used fluid from the transmission washes away tiny particles of dirt, clutch material, and metal shavings. For all your transmission flush needs, call 603-893-6556 or visit Giuffre Auto Services today - we are transmission experts.

Adding new fluid restores the holding power between the clutches. This service helps improve lubrication and helps maximize the life of the transmission.
